From March 17 to June 16, 2025, a group of 14 students from various schools across Andalucía, Spain, took part in an enriching Erasmus+ internship mobility in Foligno, Italy. The schools IES Cardenal Cisneros, IES Gerald Brenan, IES Politecnico Hermenegildo Lanz, IES Aguilar Y Cano and IES Felipe Solis Villechenous are all part of the consortium Praktica Formación.
The students came from diverse professional backgrounds, including administration, hairdressing, IT and sales. Over the course of three months, they were hosted by local companies where they had the chance to gain practical experience, improve their skills and get a glimpse into the Italian work culture.
But their stay in Italy wasn’t just about work. During their free time and weekends, the group traveled across Italy, exploring famous cities and hidden gems alike. From Florence to Rome, and from Venice to Perugia, they made the most of their time abroad, discovering the country’s rich history, cuisine and landscapes.
To top off their experience, the students celebrated their final week in Foligno by enjoying the “Giostra della Quintana”, the town’s most beloved historical events. Between the colorful parades, medieval costumes and festive atmosphere, it was the perfect ending to a memorable adventure.
This mobility gave the young participants not only professional insight but also a deeper understanding of European cultures, making it an experience they will carry with them for years to come.
