From May 03 to 10, 2025, six headmasters from primary schools in Amsterdam visited Umbria as part of a professional mobility programme organised by EGInA in collaboration with Martin Oosterhuis.
Throughout the week, the Dutch delegation explored the Italian educational system by visiting a variety of schools across the region. These included IC2 Foligno, Sellano and Sant’Anatolia di Narco schools, the AIS Montessori school in Santa Maria degli Angeli, IC3 Perugia, and the historic Liceo Mariotti in the heart of Perugia. These visits offered valuable insights into teaching practices, school management, and the integration of innovation in both rural and urban contexts.
In addition to their professional program, the group took part in CREA CULTURA, a festival celebrating creativity and education, where they witnessed how cultural heritage and artistic expression are woven into school life and community initiatives.
Their immersion continued with a rich cultural itinerary: they explored Spoleto, Bevagna, Assisi, and Perugia, and enjoyed a wine tasting experience at the renowned Lunelli Winery.
This short but intense mobility offered the perfect blend of professional exchange, cultural discovery, and meaningful connections, reinforcing the importance of cross-border cooperation in education.
