From October 5th to November 1st, 2025, two Spanish students from IES JALAMA (Cáceres), Natalia and Lara, carried out a one-month internship at the kindergarten “Asilo Nido II Giglio” in Foligno as part of their studies in Early Childhood Education and Care – Higher Vocational Diploma.
The kindergarten “Asilo Nido II Giglio” in Foligno provides a safe and nurturing early childhood environment for young children, focusing on well-being, play-based learning, and gradual development.
Indeed, during their mobility, Natalia and Lara helped the teachers by creating activities such as Halloween decorations with the children. As trainee teachers, they were part of the daily preschool life and accompanied the children in their daily routines and classes.
This Erasmus mobility was a chance for these two students to gain professional experience and to discover the Italian school system. This internship was also an opportunity for the host school to explore different teaching methods. As a matter of fact, cultural and professional exchanges are among the best processes to develop and break new ground in educational systems.
Natalia and Lara spent a wonderful time in Foligno within the kindergarten, where they were able to enrich their intercultural knowledge and develop their professional skills. Ultimately, this internship experience enabled them to make the shift from an academic learning environment to the professional world.
