From 5th to 14th November 2025, a group of 18 students, accompanied by two teachers from Protipo EPAL Igoumenitsas, a vocational upper secondary school in Greece, was welcomed in Foligno for a two-week training course at the Centro Studi Città di Foligno (Foligno Study Center).
As part of their educational pathway, the students attended classes delivered by professors from the University of Perugia on “Advanced Education in Healthcare: Training in Modern Nursing Units.” During the first week, they were introduced to the Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing and gained insight into academic and professional opportunities in the healthcare field.
In addition, the students visited two important medical facilities: the Domus Gratiae Centro Diagnostico (Domus Gratiae Diagnostic Center) in Terni and the Centro Medico Polispecialistico Diagnostico e Chirurgico Foligno (Foligno Multi-specialist Diagnostic and Surgical Medical Center) in Foligno. Both facilities are modern and well equipped, offering a wide range of advanced diagnostic technologies and specialized medical services.
At the Centro Studi Città di Foligno, the group also attended lessons on the human body, basic nursing practices, and medical care. They further completed a Basic Life Support and Defibrillation (BLSD) training course, acquiring essential life-saving skills.
Alongside their academic activities, the students had the opportunity to experience Italy’s rich cultural heritage through guided visits to Assisi and Rome. Overall, the mobility experience enabled the participants to develop valuable professional competencies as well as personal skills, broadening their perspectives and strengthening their European outlook.
