USING SOCIAL MEDIA TO ENHANCE PARTICIPATION IN CULTURE
The Digital Invasion methodology, which was developed in Italy, has been designed to implement participatory and collaborative approaches for cultural activities, aimed at the preservation and further appreciation of local cultural heritage.
The Course is addressed to “Cultural operators” – operators of the tourist system (employees of the municipality and the main places of cultural interest, tourist guides, etc.); Educators; Digital facilitators and all those who perform an educational function within a company and who can carry out activities with the public – who will be involved in the training and organization of digital invasions.
The methodology aims to improve the digital and communication skills of cultural operators, helping them become promoters to and engage citizens in the valorization of cultural heritage. It also works to improve the digital skills of citizens involved (from the youngest to the elderly) by using new technologies to promote and valorize a cultural point of interest.
The Course provides adult learning opportunities applies the principles of the digitalization of production systems, digital storytelling and web-marketing, to promote cultural heritage in order to make it more accessible and competitive at local and international level, enhancing the tangible and intangible cultural heritage itself and the participants’ development in a completely new way. The digital invasions are the holder of the good practice and of the strategic know-how necessary for its transfer to operators and abroad.
Participants will become familiar with the rational, training methodology and results developed by the partners of the ERASMUS+ project “DIGINV”.
The course has been designed to provide participants with the skills and competencies needed to valorise cultural interest and practices.
The course intends to improve the digital and communication skills of cultural operators, helping them engage citizens in the valorisation of cultural heritage.
Considering that digital technologies can provide huge opportunities for improving public access to different forms of cultural assets, participants will be trained on how to use new technologies for preserving the past and engaging citizens and cultural institutions.

All our courses are offered in a basic (6 days – 20 hours) or advanced edition (12 days – 40 hours).
