From February 4th to May 6th, three students from two schools in Toledo, Spain, embarked on an exciting journey to Foligno, Italy. During their stay, they embraced the opportunity to gain valuable professional experience, immerse themselves in a new culture, and broaden their personal and academic horizons.
Diego completed his internship at the Parafarmacia Bartoli. Throughout his placement, he was actively involved in assisting clients with selecting suitable health and wellness products, providing guidance based on their individual needs, and supporting them throughout the purchasing process.
Meanwhile, Lucia and Iryna, joined the organisation Dinamica and carried out their internship at a residential care home for the elderly, located in the city center of Foligno. During their time there, they supported the daily routines of the residents, assisted the staff with various caregiving tasks, and engaged in meaningful social interactions aimed at improving the well-being of the elderly.
Over the course of their three-month stay, all three students gained valuable hands-on experience and insight into their chosen fields. In addition to their internships, they also participated in a 16-hour Italian language course, which helped them improve their communication skills and integrate more easily into the local community. Beyond their internships, they also enjoyed a cultural and personal experience during their time in Italy.
