Hosting: 6 Students from Barcelona

From June 18 to July 19, 2025, six students from Institut TIC Barcelona spent one month in Umbria for a work-based learning experience in the field of IT and communication, hosted by EGInA.

During the first half of their mobility, the students took part in preparatory activities and actively participated in the Social Hackathon Umbria – SHU 2025, a unique event bringing together developers, designers and changemakers to build digital solutions for social good. This intense experience allowed them to put their tech skills to the test in a collaborative and dynamic environment.

In the second half of their stay, the students joined EGInA’s IT and Communication Department, where they supported the development and maintenance of websites related to several European projects. They got an insight into the behind-the-scenes of EU-funded initiatives and gained practical experience in web design and digital communication.

Beyond their technical activities, the group embraced Italian culture and daily life in Foligno, improving their language skills and exploring the rich historical and culinary heritage of the region.

This mobility was a valuable opportunity for professional growth and intercultural exchange, helping the students strengthen their digital competencies while creating lasting memories abroad.
